Here at Sedbergh Holiday Cottages we have two lovely cottages, Old Spout Barn and Chapel Beck, for you to choose from. Both sleep up to four people and are located in two separate hamlets near Sedbergh.
Situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and on the border of the lake district, Sedbergh is full of character and history, making it the ideal base to explore the picturesque area. Only 15 minutes from the M6 and just 10 miles from both Kirkby Lonsdale and Kendal.
The Howgill Fells offer one of the most idyllic walking areas in England, and were some of Alfred Wainwrights favourite fells. There’s something to meet every walking ability plus some fantastic opportunities for road cycling and Mountain biking trails such as The Bowderdale classic. The market town of Sedbergh offers many exceptional eateries to enjoy a well-deserved treat after a day’s activities or to soak up the peace and tranquillity of the area.
Old Spout Barn
Old Spout Barn is located in the picturesque hamlet of Dowbiggin, with stunning views looking down on the historic market town of Sedbergh which is nestled under the Howgill Fells. The barn has been newly renovated to an exceptionally high standard using local craftsman to capture the character of the barn, and sleeps up to 4 people. This quaint barn conversion is the perfect base for many walks and cycle routes or to relax and enjoy the surrounding valleys and towns. The peaceful and tranquil location makes it the perfect holiday retreat.
Chapel Beck
Chapel Beck is located in the picturesque hamlet of Millthrop next to clatter beck stream on the famous dales way and just half a mile from the historic market town of Sedbergh quietly nestled under the Howgill fells.
Chapel Beck has been converted from a Methodist chapel into a beautiful detached two bedroomed cottage. We offer one-night stays at Chapel Beck to accommodate walkers doing the stunning Dales way or if you’re just having a quick stay over in this beautiful part of the country.
